Hong Kong and Macau 23/01/08 to 30/01/08 (Part 1)

Day 1 - 23/01/08: Singapore Budget Terminal - Macau International Airport - Macau Ferry Terminal - Hong Kong

There was 45 minutes delay at the Budget Terminal. Flight was supposed to be at 215pm but took off only at about 3pm.

Reached Macau International Airport at 615pm and took a cab to Macau Ferry Terminal to cross over to Hong Kong. Ate at Maxim MX (美心) Restuarant at the Ferry Terminal. Not a big and expensive kindda resturant (in fact they termed it a fast food outlet) but I really like the char siew rice there. I am not an avid fan of char siew rice but the char siew there is really soft yet succulent and the rice is somehow more fragrant! Yums! Their chicken rice's garlic sauce is also fabulous! Not to mention that they offer different types of soups on different days and the noodles there are also quite nice. MX restuarant also have their own bakery Maxim Cakes.

The ferry ride to Hong Kong took about an hour. It took us right to Sheung Wan Station (上环 ) and we took a cab to my cousin's place at Residence Bel-Air; Pui Sa Wan in Cantonese (贝沙湾)。The night ended there as we wanted to rest early for the night to prepare for 'the road ahead'!!
Photo taken at the condo lobby. Very posh and expensive condo that faced the sea!
Views of the sea from the balcony.
