Not so beautiful apple strudel

Made apple strudel last week. The dough was supper difficult to make. Was all the while thinking that I should not have tried to be a smart aleck to want to try to make my own dough. Should have just used those ready-made phyllo sheets instead.

Anyway, I later realised that the way I rubbed in the butter was wrong. Ended up the crust was chao-tar but the filling was not too bad!

So, in order not to repeat the same mistake, I made some reseach before I made the pineapple tarts today, also using the rub-in method. Outcome? See the next posts...hee..

I will want to re-do apple strudel again some day. This time it will be better!!
