Went to meet an interior designer that we met by chance while we were 'shopping' for flat 1 to 2 months back on Saturday. http://www.plushliving.com.sg/
I must really commend him for his patience for he spent 2.5 hours with us. However, I do not really feel comfortable with him as he was not able to convince me about the ideas that he proposed. (Read the post on Interior Designer 2 for more information).
This firm offers a standard price for a standard package. The standard package consist of the essential items such as kitchen cabinet, sink, hood and noob (like that spell is it?!), base for refridgerator and cabinets, electrical wiring, painting, disinfecting the house, they even provide 3 split unit air cons etc etc. However for any other things that we want to add for example: built in cabinets, platforms, knock down walls etc etc would be by per ala carte price. He was not really able to give us a breakdown of the price for the additional items what we wanted.
Another reason why I was not so comfortable was because he was not able to let us view any perspective drawings (those 3-D kinds) of his designs. We have to sign the standard package first or pay $500 for the perspective drawings.
