First 'feeling' after viewing Choo's house - luckily my house not so big lor, if not clean like siao. As it is I am already cleaning like siao, and no matter clean how thoroughly it is still not clean!!
Had steamboat! As usual food and company was good!
Unfortunately it's back to work today (my off day somemore!!!!). I'd rather clean the whole house again, in replacement for work. Ya, possible only in my dreams.

That time before i move to my place, i also clean and clean until can die. Spent 2 weekends cleaning it, and after moving in, clean again!
On hindsight, i should have just bloody paid professional cleaners (like Amah on Wheels) to get rid of all the dirt.
How big is your new place? Mine has 3 bedrooms + 1 study + 1 maid's room. Backbreaking. Lucky now got part time maid.
my ID already did chemical cleaning la...but still not enough lor..
and i think first round of cleaning after chemical cleaning sld do ourselves..dont feel very secure tasking others to do leh :P
i got 3 bedrooms only la....plus kitchen and yard and storeroom and living room...haha
Aiyah, mine also got chemical cleaning but i also gotta clean again like mad.
Remember to air out your wardrobes because new wardrobes tend to have a "new smell" which will totally permeate your clothes.
huh?! how to air? just leave the doors open right?!
Yah lah, just leave the doors open. Put in charcoal if you want. When you are at the house, open the windows for air circulation also.
CHARCOAL?! as in those charcoal for BBQ?
Wah lau.
Go Daiso and buy those charcoal gel can liao. S$2 only. Just peel off the aluminium foil and put it inside your cupboard. Once the gel shrinks into a tiny little piece, means the lifespan is up.
And for your fridge, once delivered, cut a lemon into half and put it inside the fridge to absorb smells (must turn on your fridge hor). I also read somewhere you can put a slice of bread to absorb smell - but i not sure if after that you can still eat the bread lah. :)
so the charcoal finish liao then buy new one to continue is it? or just use once and wait for it to finish can liao?
oh...my fridge here for a week liao, will the lemon method still work?! must put for how long?
haha...if i use bread then i keep for you to eat after that!
anymore tips for me?! :P
Lemon - Just keep it until shrivelled up lor, which should happen in a week. It's really just to get rid of the initial new fridge smell. As for the bread method, i only read it, never tested. And you can keep the slice of roti for yourself. I read even a roll of toilet paper can absorb smell in fridge!
Charcoal Gel - Up to you, finish liao can replace, optional. I do replace mine constantly coz charcoal absorbs odours and moisture. I put it in my wardrobes, toilet cabinets and kitchen cabinets. For the charcoal gel to totally shrivel and dry up will take 3, maybe 4 months. By then should be smell free.
But you should also air out the cupboards when you are at the house. Open your windows too, always good to let the wind come in.
Other tips ah.....
Hmmm.....
Do you have books that are a bit damp due to old age? If so, put the book in a big ziploc bag, throw in some normal talcum powder, shake it, then leave it to rest flat on the table for maybe a week? The powder will absorb the moisture.
hmmm..put talcum powder...just like feet hahaha...just that we dont put the feet in bags!! wahaha...
anymore anymore anymore? like cleaning tips..which detergent to use etc etc...
wa...cant believe u know all these things man!!
I dunno what detergent to use lah, any type can lah. I know some of these because i read the tips in magazines lor.
After some time, your oven may smell due to old age. Bake some orange peel in the oven for a few minutes to clear the smell.
You know how sometimes you use the scissors to cut sticky stuff like scotchtape...end up the scissors is also sticky and doesn't cut as well? Very easy. Clean the scissors blades - put a few drops of Axe Brand Oil on a tissue and use the tissue to clean the blades; alternatively instead of Axe Brand Oil (feng you) you can use Lighter Fluid (e.g. Rosonol - It's in a yellow bottle, about S$2 to S$2.50 for a bottle). Some handiplasts leave a white sticky ring around your wound after you remove it? Use tissue & Axe Brand Oil to clean it.
I am damn aunty right? Haha.
haha that's why i said i can't believe u knew all these stuff!!
but nevermind, now you have me to appreciate you auntie-ness..
ask u ar..charcoal can put in shoe cabinet also right?!
Charcoal? Anywhere also can. Cabinets (kitchen, toilet, shoes) whatever!
