The bra issue
One of my bosses would ask me to help her buy bra whenever I go to Bangkok.
Friday morning she jumped on me at my desk. When I asked her for the bra tag - so that I know the model number and size, she asked me to check out the bra that she was wearing that day instead!! Gosh, so she asked me to lift up her top from behind and check for her! Right at my desk can!! >.<

Fried noodles!
Marcus and KS came for dinner (hmmm or should I say supper?! They reached at 940pm!) last night! Initially wanted to fry kway teow but the supermarket near my house did not sell kway teow. So I fried noodles instead!
First time cooking this. Outcome: not too bad la!! :D
They stayed until 1am. KS occupied with his guitar, watching TV and listening to conversations. Marcus entertained my hubby by listening to his stories etc etc. Time passed fast wor, blink of an eye and 1am already.

Poor Cal
He had 3 classes straight from 620pm to 930pm last night, because he had to stand in for Serena for Body Balance from 620pm to 720pm. 凶咯！He already said he was damn tired during the break after Body Pump and before Body Combat. 真可怜。
So it's good that he got promoted. So he can start to do 'managerial' stuff instead of just the physical work - just like Julian and Ben. 35 years old liao! Considered old for this kind of physical work, so must plan ahead! Haha..

But the person is not me...wahhahah...it's Calvin! Congrats la!!
Met him at the lift after classes earlier. First question he asked me was 'how's work?' Roll eyes lor, such a boring topic. He must have seen my exasperated face so he decided to offer information about HIS work instead. Haha :D
So he said he got promoted. He is now the 2nd in-charge after Rodney, for Body Vive. He also said that for the next consecutive 3 weeks he would not have any off days because he had to train the new instructors for Body Vive for 3 saturdays. Saturdays are his off days.
Hmmm.. poor thing. Got to prepare slides for presentation and answer e-mails queries too. Well, at least he gets to rest in between classes leh. He said he always goes home. Home being in Toa Payoh near Braddell side. Haha....
He does not seem too happy about the promotion though. He said that he does not like to be in the 'lime light' and '钱不是最重要的' when I reminded him about the extra $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!

Duplicity
Watched this with Elaine earlier at PS.
Had been wanting to watch this show. However, slightly disappointed. The plot is abit complicated I feel. Took some time for me to understand. At the end of trying to understand, I was already feeling exhausted. I mean the tiredness could be due to gym-ing before the movie too la....:D
Oh yes, Elaine went gym-ing with me. This was a plot to kill time since she did not know what to do before watching movie. So we called and said I was bringing a friend to try out the classes! :))
JW was very nice and friendly. He talked to her before and after the class and even prepared the weights for us when we came to set up the step-board then hurried off to change. :))
Calvin's class was as fun as ever but she did not like it leh! Think it was because she could not remember the steps, understand the instructions and also tired out because it was already the second class.
After classes she said, 'This taught me not to eat rubbish. This is really so tiring'. Something along this line lah..I cannot remember word for word. Haha..but after that she still polished off one big hotdog sandwiche during the movie >.<|||

Anyway, slight hiccups at the beginning but Grace was quick to jump to our defense.
Anyway there is nothing worthy to explain everything here, just that what made us so frustrated was that one of the management people (Shall not name names here as it could get too obvious) actually told her 'well sometimes we forget' when Grace reminded her that we had already cleared with them at least on 2 occasions and also with the BIG BOSS (henceof she shall be known as number 45) at the LASTEST management meeting just THREE days before the event on Friday. And the same person who said the above phrase actually shrugged her shoulders to indicate that she did not know when the number 45 nodded to her and asked what happened.
And directions was given as to make the event a 'haha' event. Some people might like it, some people might think that it was stupid, some people might have other thoughts, and directions, we followed. Much as we tried to advocate for change to try to make everything more intellectual, we were not successful. They still wanted (with much emphasis) a 'haha' event. Please read above to understand what kind of people we deal with in the management team. Even the games we came up with, we had to convince Grace not once but at least twice. She felt that games were too serious and stressful. >.<|||
Oh yes and talking about the 'haha-ness'. Number 45 then got to comment during feedback for one of the presentations that 'we are not only looking for laughter but also for substance for your presentations.' HELLO I ALMOST SLIPPED OFF FROM MY CHAIR WHEN I HEARD THAT. If looks could kill I would have killed her with the look on my face then. I took that personally because did she mean that the team only concentrated on the 'haha-ness' which sadly she could have forgotten that she emphasised on wanting that, and hack care about the substance??
I know there can be substance too with 'haha-ness', but SUBSTANCE?! This is never within our team's control!....They knew that this year the teams did not have much substance!! As in their projects were NOT moving!! How to have substance?! They knew it!!
Ok everything is over.
Anyway, I must say that most of our colleagues had been most supportive and I thank them for that. :)) And of course the interns who assisted in making the games from stratch.
And yes Grace. Again she did not disappoint, and she proved me right that she is still one of the best managers we had thus far.

Soy Blueberries Cheesecake
Baked this for the in-turns on Sunday night.
I replaced the gelatine with agar agar powder as gelatine is unhealthy.
Unfortunately the cake did not set properly. I think it was because of the missing gelatine. Chilling it did not help too so I decided to freeze it. But it melt very fast once it was out of the freezer.
Sigh, next time would not replace any ingredients la. Should just not use the recipe if I did not like the ingredients they used.

It's the last week
The in-turns would be leaving at the end of the week. Although it's been tiring managing/supervising their work at times and initially, it helps that they became better as time passed :). It's the last week, hopefully they can maintain their improved 'standard'! :))
Last week, they asked me if we felt that they were a bother. Apparantly they felt that from one of the supervisors. Well, I am glad that I am not the one they were referring to and that they found it comfortable enough to share this with me.
Anyway, much as I wished I did not have to supervise any in-turns, I think I will still miss them. This always happens...:)

Just got to know that PH had a miscarriage. Well, this is sad news.
Reminded me of some friends who had miscarriage/s, difficulty getting pregnant, went through alot to get pregnant etc.
Really, it isn't an easy decision when one decides to have a baby, and it definately isn't easy being pregnant. All the emotional and physical changes and preparation are something that I will not be able to understand at this point of time. But at least I know that they exist.
So, for people who are blessed enough to have children whom you chose to have, are currently pregnant which is a decision that you have made, please treasure whatever you have. :))

A school counsellor sms-ed me at 6am this morning (Sunday) to ask if I could meet her principal at 10am on Monday (tomorrow).
I think she forgot to ask me earlier and then had a nightmare; then immediately jumped out of bed to send this sms. If not, why would any sane person send this kind of sms at 6AM on SUNDAY?
Cannot be lapse in sending sms because I have been receiving my sms-es perfectly well. Or another explaination could be that she is in another time zone?! Hmmm....

Damn happening day!
Why am I blogging at such unearthly hour? This is because I just reached home and finished bathing! I had such an unbelievably happening day that I am so excited to blog about it right away!
I shall start from the afternoon of 6 Jul 2009.
1pm: Went to the gym at The Cathay and on the way made a check. Someone happened to be transferred to Aston's for a week hence took the opportunity to make a check.
3pm: After that went home to drop my gym stuff and change into comfortable clothes.
4pm: Head down to Delphi Orchard to Fairy's Inc to see rings! Yes!! I made an order already and the design is pretty! I love!! Cost: $1980. I am still wondering if I should let hubby know the full cost :P. But he said no budget constrain leh...so....maybe I should just tell la! Collection time: 6 weeks. I am hoping that it would be faster! This time the ring whould be uniquely mine as I played with the colours, cut and dimension of the ring.
630pm: Elaine and I decided to catch a movie so we went to Cineleisure. Tickets for the movies we wanted were sold out. Took a bus to PS and suffered the same fate. Walked to The Cathay and it was worse. Walked back to PS to eat sushi dinner. Got some bad news from work and sort of spoil the mood a little because kept having to talk on the phone and sms. Anyway the issue was concluded awhile later.
830pm: Went to PS with intention of getting a present for Liling and at the same time wait for her to finish her shopping at Ikea before she made her way down to East Coast Road to meet us. Did not manage to get any present as it was too rush. Anyway Elaine got distracted at Aldo and I also grabbed the chance to go Daiso to get more containers. All my small containers people never return lor!! >.<|||
Received another call and seemed that the issue was still not settled and they were trying to settle it. 嗨。。。
930pm: Met Liling and her boyfriend for durian at East Coast Road. Not so yummy D24 but very yummy 猫山王！！We had a D24 and 2 猫山王s! Cost: $15 per person!
1030pm: Went to East Coast Park for prawning. Liling and her boyfriend did not like the place as they said there were too many people and too little prawns. So they decided to head for another prawning place at Sim Ming. I decided to go home and wait for some call. 嗨！Abit of spoiler because had really wanted to stay out with them. But just felt uneasy la.
1130pm: Reached home. Wait wait wait. Wait for call and wait for reply sms. Wait wait wait.

12am: Finally received call saying that they would be heading down to IMH.
1230am: They had yet to leave the house.
1am: Finally received call saying that they have reached IMH.
115am: I left my house and went to pick up Minrui before heading to IMH.
330am: Left IMH after settling everything. Minrui and I were very hungry so we decided to join the prawning people at Sim Ming.
415am: We still felt hungry and decided to head for prata at Thomson Road. Unfortunately, prata shop and 糖水 shop all closed.
445am: Reached home.
Well, wasn't my day damn happening?!
Ok, I am going to concuss now. Working late at bee-bee-h somemore later lor. >.<|||

Gabriel the new gymer
Gabriel joined us for gym last night. He came for pump class and I helped to set up the equipment for him as he had to talk to the sales person first.
I had high hopes on him leh since he was a PTI. So I took 2 5kgs and 2 2.5kgs for him. But abit disappointed because he's not as strong as I thought he would be! Heehee.....he said he had not exercised for the longest time. Hmm...so regular exercise is important...does not matter whether you used to be a PTI, always been fit etc etc...
Haha...I sort of pushed him abit to continue combat class after pump class. He kept saying 'Alamak will die anot? Think I may just die! Tomorrow sure bodyache like mad!'
Haha..funny kid.
He told me this morning his biceps ache. Well, at least better than me...my whole body ached after the first class last time lor!!!
Anyway he said he has decided to join the club. Now it's just talking to the sales staff and try to get the best deal! :)) Wa! Alvin will get $10 off his fees every month for recommending him!

Hai...
Can't people just be kinder with their words and respect each other when other people have other committments?
Must say and say until when? Must say things like 'as usual' blah blah blah ma??
Is there is a need to do that? Hey respect. Gosh, really don't want to write unpleasant things that could/might? spoil relationships here but sometimes it's really tiring.
I am tired. I want to live my own life and won't and don't want to be controlled / be obligated to do things. If I can make it, I want to go, it's something special, I'd go. The list is not exhaustive, it's case by case basis depending on many other factors.
I don't only say it here. I've voiced it out before.
Ok flame me if you want. Right in my face please.
