They engraved the wrong date on my ring!
Actually the mistake happened at the workshop end. The workers had engraved the wrong date and there were even some scratches on the inner side of the ring as a result of the engraving machine.
I brought it back last Tuesday and they said that they would smoothen out the engraving and re-engraved the correct date. But I told them that since it was their mistake, I would expect a compensation. Moreover, the ring seemed a little small, most likely because of the 'caved in' design on the rim. So, I told them that technically speaking, they should also compensate me for giving the wrong advise to follow my old wedding ring size. They said they would go ahead and smoothen the ring and re-engrave it first. Then they would do another fitting of the ring when I went to collect it.
I went to collect it today and they did another re-fitting. After that, they agreed to do a 1 to 1 exchange for me!! No questions asked, no need for me to repeat what I said the other day!!
This is good after-care service!!!
