In the Straitstimes today, it was announced that another JI member Rijal Yadri Jumari, aged 27, who trained with Al-Qaeda had been detained. The same piece of article mentioned something that bothered me:
'The ministry yesterday also said that JI detainee Anis Mohamad Mansor, 51, was freed on Feb 10 with limits on his activities and movements. Anis, held for four years, had cooperated in investigations and responded to rehabilitation, including religious counselling, the ministry added.'
Now now, how can this be done when the packet of nasi lemak is on the run? Understand that nasi lemak 'absconded' after Feb 10, but they should at least have recalled that fella who was released. What happened if those 2 had met and planned something? What is meant by 'with limits on his activities and movements'? Nasi lemak was in detention centre and he managed to escape!!!
Paraniod? Not confident with our system? Yeah..how to be confident when nasi lemak managed to escape?!
Rehabilitation?! At this point of time with nasi lemak running amok, I am more concerned about RELAPSE!
Unfair? Well we cannot take chances right? It is the freedom of 1 person against the welfare of the entire nation. I mean these are not 'normal' people whom we are talking about. They have, at least at one point in their life, been SERIOUSLY brain-washed by sets of doctrine not in-line with social norms. Doctrines and being brain-washed aside, they have received formal terrorist trainings in Afghanistan!!!
Just my 2 cents worth of thoughts...
Oh...I am keeping my fingers crossed....tightly crossed..and toes too...
