We bought many things these 2 days! Bed frame, mattress, electric oven, microwave oven, washing machine, air-con, fridge, heater and hood and hob.
We are now left with the following things to buy - sofa, coffee table, bedside table, curtains/blinds, study table, book shelf, bed for 2nd bedroom and dinning table.
Bought so many things already yet still got so many things to buy! *Faint*! Read
Most importantly we have confirmed our designer! Zidane it shall be and this thursday we will be formally awarding the contract. ID (Jane) is currently working on the perspective drawings and we will get to see them on this thursday too.
A bit pity that we will not be working with Jeremy (Box ID) though. He is innovative; a true blue ID. Not to mention that I am still awed by his ability to draw perspective drawings at the snap of the fingers; right in front of our eyes. Unfortunately we cannot use him because he tended to need a few days to get back to us when we needed him to do things. We were worried that this might be a hindrance when renovation starts. He possibly was too comfortable with us since we are personal friends; that was the downside. But he is good, really good. I will recommend him to my friends.
On the other hand, Jane is more chin chai. She listens more and gave suggestions only when we asked for her suggestions or when our proposal really 'cannot make it'. Otherwise she seldom intervened. Most importantly she responds to queries fast. She was the ID for my cousin's place. As we had seen her work, her price was reasonable (more or less the same as Jeremy's) and since we were down to Jeremy and her, it was her over Jeremy.
