M = materialistic
BC = brand conscious
What is M and what is BC? Is there any difference between the 2?
According to wikipedia:
M = describes a person who is markedly more concerned with material things than with spiritual, intellectual, or cultural values; an adherent of materialism
According to me because I cannot find the meaning in wikipedia or yahoo-ing:
BC = happens when consumers do not mind paying more for better/higher quality
This whole episode of M and BC came about because of an e-mail thread with Jinny today! We were talking about our desires to get LVs, cartiers, rolex, diamonds etc etc!!
Initially I cannot decide whether I am M or BC. Coming to think of it now, I think I am more of a BC because I am still intellectual (ahem!) and I have values!!

Actually, i think it's all related. BC is a subset of M. Because one is M, one hankers to be BC.
Probably just the degree to which one is M and BC.
Just my opinion lah.
I am both. And i gladly admit it.
PRADA ROCKS!
Just another point.
A person that is labelled M is concerned with all things material, spiritual, intellectual and cultural.
Material - Wanting to possess that physical entity.
Spiritual - Possessing that entity is good for one's spirit, lifts one's spirit (i am markedly ignoring the usual definition of what "spiritual" entails).
Intellectual - One needs to think about which entity to buy, one's budget, the design, and sometimes even how to wheedle other people to purchase that entity for us. This TOTALLY entails intellect - the scheming, the budgeting, the manipulation, the planning.
Cultural - EXCUSE ME but when i buy a PRADA, i am embracing all things Italian!
wow..what can i say? except that u have long learnt how to counter every negative aspect of the word M!! :P
true blue perspective of a M-P! :))
and lastly...ok ok prada rocks my dear!!
